Making expertise something you can hire.
I have spent my career designing AI products inside large companies — observability and security platforms at Cloudflare and Cisco, and natural language generation at Narrative Science before Salesforce acquired it. The same thing kept happening: the model was never the bottleneck.
What was missing was the working method of someone who actually does the job, and any evidence that the output holds up. A general model can write, reason, and code. It does not know your domain, your context, or the standard the work is held to. So the work either never gets delegated, or it gets delegated and quietly checked by hand — which is not delegation.
Lancis supplies the two missing pieces: the encoded working method of a practitioner, and a published evaluation of what it produces. That is what turns a model into an AI Worker a business can hire, deploy, and hold to a standard. We are starting with the roles a small company depends on but cannot staff full-time — the brand designer, the front-end engineer, the analyst, the bookkeeper — because that is where the gap is widest.
